Your data, your control

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo. You may sign up using email/password or through a supported third-party login provider. We do not store third-party passwords.

Scripts & Sides

When you upload PDF scripts or paste text, we store the original file and the parsed script data (character names, dialogue lines, and stage directions) so you can rehearse and return to your scripts.

Recordings

When you use the self-tape studio, we capture video from your webcam and audio from your microphone. The final recording (video with mixed audio) is stored in your private storage folder. Recordings are only accessible to you unless you choose to share them.

Practice & Usage Data

We log practice session metadata — such as session duration, lines practiced, and voice assignments — to power your rehearsal analytics. We also collect standard usage data like pages visited and features used to improve the product.

Voice Activity Data

During hands-free rehearsal, microphone input may be processed in two ways depending on your selected detection mode. In Auto (Voice) mode, voice activity detection runs locally in your browser. In Smart Detection mode, audio is sent to our speech-to-text provider for real-time transcription and line matching.

Core Service Delivery

We use your data to provide the rehearsal and self-tape experience: parsing scripts, generating AI scene partner audio via text-to-speech, mixing audio streams, storing recordings, and displaying your practice history.

Text-to-Speech Processing

Dialogue lines for non-user characters are sent to a third-party text-to-speech provider to generate scene partner audio. These requests include dialogue text and selected voice settings. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in uploaded script text.

Product Improvement

We use aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve features, fix bugs, and guide product development. We do not use your scripts, recordings, or personal notes for AI training purposes.

Communications

We may send you transactional emails (password resets, account confirmations) and, with your consent, product updates. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.

Infrastructure

Your data is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Database access is protected by row-level security policies that ensure you can only access your own data.

File Storage

Scripts and recordings are stored in private, access-controlled storage. Files are organized by your user ID and are not accessible to other users. File size limits may apply depending on your plan.

Local Caching

To improve performance, generated scene partner audio may be cached locally in your browser. This data stays on your device and is never sent to other users or third parties.

Authentication Security

Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Session tokens are managed via secure, HTTP-only cookies. Third-party login tokens are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored directly by our application.

Third-Party Services

We work with trusted third-party providers for cloud hosting, authentication, storage, billing, video processing, and AI features. This includes providers used for text-to-speech and optional speech-to-text, video transcoding and playback, and script extraction/parsing. Providers only receive the data needed for their specific function and are governed by their own privacy terms and our contractual controls.

We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, scripts, recordings, or any other user data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Access & Portability

You can view and download your scripts and recordings at any time from your dashboard. Your practice session data is available in your account.

Deletion

You can delete individual scripts, recordings, and practice sessions from your dashboard. Full account deletion currently requires a request to the email below so we can verify ownership and process the removal. Once completed, account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed, subject to limited retention required for legal, security, or billing obligations.

Correction

You can update your profile information at any time through your account settings.

GDPR & CCPA

If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, you have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA respectively, including the right to request a copy of your data, restrict processing, or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise these rights.

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for authentication, security, and basic site functionality. These cookies cannot be disabled.

Analytics Cookies

With your consent, we use analytics tools to understand how you use the app so we can improve features and fix usability issues. Analytics data is aggregated and does not include personal content such as scripts, recordings, or notes.

With your consent, we use error monitoring and performance tracking tools to detect and resolve bugs. These help ensure your rehearsals run smoothly.

Managing Your Preferences

When you first visit AuditionPartner.ai, you'll be asked to choose which cookie categories to allow. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page.
